Shimika Kennison Founder of Entourage Institute
Shimika Kennison is the founder of Entourage Institute, a cutting-edge beauty school in Kansas City. Shimika began her career in 2002. She’s always had an interest in the fashion and cosmetology industry. As a professional freelance stylist and makeup artist, Shimika has received national recognition for her outstanding work. Shimika’s work has been featured in People Magazine, Miss USA Pageants, Survivor: Guatemala, The Tony Danza Show, CBS Morning Show and the Regis and Kelly Show. Shimika received her advanced education at the prestigious Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles and the Redken Exchange in New York City. Her passion for the beauty industry and commitment to elevating the standards of cosmetology paved the vision for the Entourage Institute.
The Entourage Institute is formed from Shimika’s relentless pursuit to change the beauty industry through education. She’s passionate about educating the next generation of stylists in beauty trends and professionalism. Shimika has been described as “amazing, forward-thinking and a motivator” who has “a million talents wrapped up in a petite powerful package.” Her desire is to help people live the life they deserve through a passion of educating and imparting the knowledge she has traveled from coast to coast to obtain.
In addition to serving as the President/Creative Director of the Entourage Institute of Beauty, Shimika’s passions flood into the community as well. She is Vice President of Quickstart, “The Eddie Kennison Foundation: and an Ambassador for the Alliance for Lupus Research. Shimika is a sponsor for “DIVAS,” the worship center of KC. Shimika is a dynamic woman that has touched the lives of many. She’s a powerhouse of knowledge.
