Entourage Institute Helps Kansas City
At Entourage Institute, we believe that true leaders lead by example. Our cosmetology school students are required to complete community service as part of our curriculum. It’s not only important to know how to be a great hair stylist or makeup artist; cosmetologists must also build a business through respect in the community. We believe this respect comes from helping others.
We partner with several organizations to raise money for charitable causes. We use our cosmetology skills to give back in ways that help others, and improve our student’s abilities at the same time. We’ve participated in several community service events like:
- Raised money for Quickstart for Lupus research.
- Locks of Love free haircuts
- Cut-a-thons for Girls on the Run
- Ladies night out once/quarter with discounted services; proceeds benefitting various charities
- Fashion shows
- Makeovers for women re-entering the workforce
Locks of Love Hair Donation
Each one of our stylists is trained in cutting hair for hair donations, including Locks of Love. Nonprofit organization Locks of Love requires a 10-inch hair donation. If anyone chooses our stylists for their Lock of Love hair donation, we will give a free haircut at our student salon and spa.
